Fees without the fog.

The number on a pricing page can combine different charges. Here is how to read Employment Pass, dependant-pass, consultation and recruitment fees before you approve the next step.

A clear quote should tell you what is paid to MOM, what AIS does for the case and where a separate route applies.

There are three different charges.

When an employer asks, “What does an EP cost?”, the answer depends on whether they mean the government application, the professional work or the full published service total.

Government fees

Fees set by MOM for submitting or issuing a pass. These are not AIS revenue and may change when MOM updates its rates.

Professional fees

AIS fees for case review, document guidance, submission, follow-up and the agreed service scope.

Other expenses

Case-dependent costs such as medical examinations, translations, certification or other third-party requirements may need separate confirmation.

Published total

Where a service is listed as a total, the current AIS pricing page includes the stated MOM fees in that amount.

Current government charges

What MOM charges for the pass.

For the standard Employment Pass and related applications covered by the current AIS pricing structure, the government charges are separated by stage.

NEW APPLICATION

$105

Application fee paid when a new pass application is submitted.

PASS ISSUANCE

$225

Issuance fee paid when the approved pass is issued.

IF REQUIRED

$30

Multiple Journey Visa fee where the case requires it.

For a renewal, the application fee is not shown as a new-application charge in the current AIS pricing structure. The issuance fee and any applicable Multiple Journey Visa fee still need to be considered.

Government rates can change. The latest MOM fee and application instructions take priority over any older estimate, screenshot or saved quote.
AIS pricing logic

How the published totals are built.

AIS publishes a total where the service scope and listed MOM fees can be stated clearly. The total is for the service described on the pricing page; it is not a promise that every future request or change will be included.

SGD 1,160Employment Pass (EP) service total, per application.
SGD 760Dependant's Pass (DP) or Letter of Consent (LOC) service total, per application.
SGD 1,055Work pass renewals service total, per application.

The figures above are pulled from AIS's current pricing configuration. The live pricing page is the source for the latest published totals.

What the service covers

Price and scope should be read together.

01Pre-check

Review the role, salary, employer profile and current route before submission.

02Documents

Provide a practical checklist and review the information needed for the application.

03Submission

Prepare and submit the agreed application through the relevant MOM channel.

04Follow-up

Track the case and respond to MOM requests within the stated service scope.

The exact inclusions differ by service. For example, a renewal review, dependant-pass application, appeal and recruitment search are not the same piece of work and should not be compared only by their headline number.

Different routes

Not every AIS service is an EP total.

Dependant and long-term passes

DP and LTVP applications are priced separately per family member or application. Government fees may form part of the published total.

Consultation

A professional consultation is a separate route for a focused case discussion and next-step advice, rather than a full application submission.

Appeals

An appeal is a new review of the decision and evidence. It should not be assumed to be included in the original application fee.

Recruitment

Recruitment is quoted from 9% of first-year gross base salary, with the final fee based on role complexity, seniority and search scope.

Where the scope is not a standard listed service, AIS will confirm the professional fee and what it covers before work begins.

Before you approve

Know what can change the quote.

  • Government rate changes. MOM may update application, issuance or visa fees.
  • Case complexity. Clarifications, appeals, unusual documents or a change in route may require a different scope.
  • Additional family members. DP and LTVP applications are normally handled separately for each person.
  • Third-party requirements. Medical, translation, certification or other external costs may not form part of the listed AIS total.
  • Recruitment scope. A local search, overseas search, senior role or broader campaign may require a separate recruitment quote.
Ask for the scope, not only the number.

The useful comparison is what is included, which government fees are covered and what happens if MOM asks for more information.

Questions employers ask

FAQ

What are the current MOM fees for an EP?

MOM currently lists a $105 application fee for a new pass application, a $225 issuance fee for each pass and a $30 Multiple Journey Visa fee where applicable. Confirm the latest MOM position before payment.

Does AIS's published EP total include MOM fees?

Yes. The current AIS pricing page states that listed work-pass totals include the applicable MOM fees for the listed service. The included scope is shown with each service.

Is the $105 application fee payable for an EP renewal?

The $105 fee is the new-application fee. Renewal pricing is structured separately and includes the applicable issuance charges stated on the pricing page.

Are medical examinations and document certification included?

Do not assume they are included. These are case-dependent third-party requirements and should be confirmed for the specific matter.

How are recruitment fees calculated?

Recruitment fees are quoted from 9% of first-year gross base salary, with the final fee based on role complexity, seniority and search scope.
